Clinic Announcements

Change to Saturday Hours

Beginning on January 1, 2026 Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic will be open from 8:30 AM-12 PM.

We are only open the first three Saturdays of every month. Please plan medication and food pick-ups, as well as boarding arrangements accordingly. Thank You!

No Show Policy for Procedures

Due to an overwhelming amount of no shows for surgeries and dentals, Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic will be implementing a new No Show Policy for Procedures beginning January 1, 2026:

  • After one no show for a procedure, owners must prepay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the estimated procedure costs prior to rescheduling.  This deposit will be deducted from cost of the procedure, but will be forfeited if owner does not show up for rescheduled procedure.

  • If a second no show occurs for the rescheduled procedure date, owners will be required to prepay a non-refundable exam fee for all future appointments. These deposits will be deducted from the cost of exam/visit total, but will be forfeited if owner does not show up.

Appointments Required for All Visits

To ensure every patient receives the highest level of care, Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic operates by appointment only. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept walk-in visits. This allows our doctors and staff to stay on schedule, minimize wait times, and give each pet the focused care they deserve.

If your pet needs to be seen, please call our team when our phones turn out at 8:30 AM to schedule a visit. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferred time and make your experience as smooth as possible.

Clinic & Phone Hours

Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic is open 7:30-5:30 Monday-Thursday; 7:30-4:30 on Fridays and 7:30-12 on most Saturdays. We are closed the fourth Saturday of every month. To allow our team to assist the large volume of patients that arrive during the first hour of the day our phone system does not turn on until 8:30 AM.  Please leave us a voicemail and we will return your call as soon as we are able.

For Now, We're Prioritizing the Pets Already in Our Care

Our doctors are at full capacity and we are unable to accept new clients at this time. This ensures we can continue providing the best possible care for our current patients. We hope to reopen to new families in the future and truly appreciate your understanding.

Clinic Policy Update

September 10, 2025

Dear Valued Clients,

Thank you for trusting us with your pet’s care. It is a privilege to both support your family and to be part of your pet’s journey.

We know that veterinary visits can be emotional—especially when your pet is sick or injured. Feeling worried or anxious is completely normal. Our team is here because we love animals and are dedicated to helping them heal and thrive. We carry the weight of our patients’ struggles with us every day.

As demand for veterinary care continues to grow, we’re doing our best to provide timely, high-quality service. We truly appreciate your patience with scheduling, wait times, and hospital protocols. In return, we ask that you treat our staff with kindness and respect.

To keep our hospital safe and welcoming for everyone, we have implemented a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Verbal or physical abuse

  • Hostile or threatening language

  • Offensive or disrespectful comments

  • Aggressive or demanding behavior

Anyone who violates this policy may be asked to leave, and we may choose to end our professional relationship.

Thank you for your continued support and for allowing us to be part of your pet’s life. We’re truly grateful to walk this journey with you.

Warmly,

Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic

Wishing Dr. Baltz All the Best

With great joy and some sadness Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic would like to announce that Dr. Angela Baltz will be retiring March 28, 2025, after 26 years of practicing veterinary medicine.  Her insight, caring attitude and calm demeanor will be greatly missed after spending the last 13 years with Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic.

We are happy for Dr. Baltz as she embarks on this new chapter of her life! She is eager to head to Rocky Mountain National Park with her husband Chris, as he resumes his career with the National Park Service. Please join Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic as we wish her the absolute best moving forward!
